Built on the trowel · Sheffield, England

Site visit to paid invoice. One app.

PlasterFlow runs your enquiries, site visits, quotes, materials, invoices and money — made by a plasterer with 25 years on the tools, for plasterers and renderers. Not another everything-app built in an office.

The whole job

Five stages, and the app carries the job through all of them

You enter the measurements once, on the visit. Everything after that is filled in for you — the scope, the price, the materials, the invoice.

What it does

It knows the trade, so you don't type the trade

Every screen assumes you're a plasterer or renderer. Pick the system, measure the walls, and the scope of works, materials list and price write themselves.

A site visit that asks, not a form that stares

The visit is one question at a time — room by room for plastering (skim, board, dot & dab, bond, new stud partitions and MF ceilings), elevation by elevation for rendering with 9 brands and 80 systems. Answer as you walk round.

It writes a professional scope of works and counts every board and bag, so your quote is ready before you're back in the van.

Quotes customers answer

Finish the visit and tap Save & quote — it's priced and written for you. Send by WhatsApp, text or email; the customer taps Accept on their phone.

Job grown once you're on site? Extra works raises a second price on top of the accepted quote — the agreed figure stays exactly as it is.

Quotes & invoices →

Your real merchant prices

Load the prices you actually pay. Pick by brand, then type, then product — not one endless list — nudge the quantities, and the order list comes out grouped ready to send to your supplier.

Materials & prices →

Can I render today?

A plain yes or no from the forecast — temperature, frost, humidity, rain — with a curing window for what you put on this morning and live rain radar so you can see it coming.

The weather verdict →

Live job profit

Every job shows profit so far — quote minus materials, days on site and costs. No spreadsheet on a Sunday night.

Jobs & money →

Show them their house, rendered

The render preview puts a new colour on a photo of their actual house — the quietest closing tool you'll ever use.

Dates that behave

The visit asks when you're starting and how long you're on it. The calendar greys out days you're already booked, works out the finish date in working days, and drops the job into your phone's calendar with the address and notes.

Measure a wall from a photo

Tap the edges of a door in the photo and the app scales the whole wall — square metres without a ladder.

Your week, as a timeline

Jobs laid out by the day they're booked — what you're on now, what's pencilled in, what's coming. Tap any job to open it out.

Nothing falls through

One reminders screen, grouped by day — chase the quote, order the scaffold, ring them back. The things that cost you money when you forget them.

Your paperwork

Quotes that look like you charge properly

Six document styles plus your own accent colour — your logo on the quote and the invoice, your look, every time. Pick once, preview on a real invoice, done.

Pricing

A third of the price of the big-name trade apps

Who built it

Written on jobs, not in a meeting room

“I priced jobs on the back of receipts for twenty years. Every app I tried was built for someone else's trade — so I built the one I actually needed.”

PlasterFlow is built by a working plasterer and renderer with over 25 years on the tools, running his own firm in Sheffield. It started as the app that ran that business: every feature in it exists because a real job needed it that week — the weather verdict because of a wasted morning, the coverage rates because of a short order, extra works because a job grew on site.

It still works that way. Beta users' problems get fixed in days, not roadmaps.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers

What does it cost?

Free while it's in beta. At launch it's £9.99 a month, or £99 a year (two months free). No setup fees, no per-quote charges, cancel any time.

What does it run on?

iPhone and Mac apps, plus a web version that works on anything with a browser — Android phones and tablets included. Everything stays in sync between them, so a to-do added on the Mac shows on your phone.

I'm a plasterer who doesn't render — is it still for me?

Yes. Plastering has its own full flow: room-by-room visits, skim/board/dot-and-dab/bond methods, specialist boards, stud partitions and MF ceilings, coverage rates in bags-per-square-metre — the lot. Rendering is there when you want it.

How long before I can send my first quote?

Ten minutes, most of it typing your own details in once. Put your business name, logo, phone, email and bank details into Business Details, check the material prices against your own merchant, then do a visit — the quote comes out of it already written and priced.

The app also starts with three example jobs (plastering, rendering and EWI) so you can see a finished one before you do your own. Remove them with one tap.

Do I have to use the prices it comes with?

No, and you shouldn't for long. It ships with sensible generic trade prices so nothing is blank on day one, but the point of the app is that it quotes on your numbers — so go into Mats → Prices and put in what your merchant actually charges you. It never overwrites a price you have set.

Whose data is it?

Yours. Your jobs, prices and customers export to a file whenever you like, and your account is private to you — nobody else using PlasterFlow can see it. We don't sell data and never will. See the privacy policy.

Does it work with no signal on site?

Yes — the app keeps working and syncs up when you're back in coverage. Customer accept/decline links need the customer to be online, which they nearly always are.

Can I use it on more than one device?

Yes — phone, Mac and web on the same account, all in sync. Photos, jobs, prices and to-dos all cross over.

Am I VAT registered / not registered — does it cope?

Both. You set whether you're VAT registered and your rate; quotes and invoices then show the VAT lines or leave them off entirely. Limited company details (registered name, company number and registered office) are optional fields — sole traders leave them blank and nothing prints.
